Just installed the Boosted Mentality axle-back on my GV70 and couldn’t be happier. The stainless steel construction is solid, the welds are clean, and everything arrived well-packaged with a professional finish. Fitment was perfect out of the box and I had no trouble doing the install solo in my garage with ramps and basic tools; I’d strongly recommend getting a pair of exhaust hanger pliers (Lisle 38350 worked great) to make the job easier. The sound is exactly what I wanted: a deeper, sportier tone that enhances the 3.5T’s character without being loud or droning. It is refined enough for a luxury SUV, but definitely more engaging than stock. Overall, it exceeded my expectations.

Just wanted to share my experience after installing the Boosted Mentality axle-back exhaust on my GV70 3.5T — this thing is awesome.

First off, the quality and craftsmanship are top-notch. The 2.5” stainless steel pipes, smooth welds, and overall fit and finish are excellent. You can tell a lot of care went into the design and build.

Removal of the stock exhaust was easier than I expected — two bolts and two hangers per side, and the whole thing dropped right out. The new system went on perfectly with the supplied hardware and gaskets. Fitment was spot-on, and it’s noticeably lighter than the factory setup.

Now for the best part — the sound. It’s aggressive when you get on it but not obnoxious. Deep tone, no rasp, and zero drone at cruising speeds. It completely changes the personality of the GV70 without sacrificing comfort or refinement.

Overall, I couldn’t be happier. Easy install, fantastic build quality, and a sound that really wakes up the 3.5T. Highly recommend it to anyone thinking about upgrading their exhaust

The filters fit perfectly in our 2024 GV70 3.5t Sports Prestige and it appears our gas mileage has slightly improved. I am not sure how it has affected performance because I do not have the tools to measure that. It’s already a quick and fast car and it may be quicker now.

I came across boosted mentality’s system just off a google search. There was some initial skepticism as it seemed their company was quite small and niche. However from the start their communication was excellent as they were able to quickly answer some questions I had.
I decided to place the preorder, taking a bit of a risk r.e tariffs as I am in Canada. However, a month after preorder the system shipped, and took less than a week to arrive via UPS. It was less than $300CAD of customs fees at the boarder which was better than expected.
I got a local, well regarded custom exhaust shop to install the system as I just don’t have the tools / space in a condo. It took them less than an hour of labour, and they said the fitment and quality was fantastic - to the point of saying they’d consider bringing in the system themselves for clients.
The resulting sound is fantastic and completely as advertised. Minimal drone under normal driving, virtually not noticeable on the highway, but a great sound under acceleration and a bit of a deeper/throaty sound at startup to about 2.5k rmp, and even some burbles at lower rpm throttle liftoff. In general, I’d say the sound is more akin to the Infiniti VQ engine note, however with a bit more aggression/throatyness down low.
All in all, this has been a great high quality system and I wouldn’t hesitate to order it next time it’s available.
